Have you heard about this Basics to Go kit? It's called "Basics to Go: Your All in One Summer Basics Pantry" and is the perfect thing for all of you beach (and lake, and mountain) house renters. Sue Fuirst of Chappaqua has this great idea.
She put together a package of all the essential condiments and spices you would need for a week or two at the beach. Her kit includes extra virgin olive oil, 12-year-old aged balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, sea salt and pepper grinders and 2 spice blends. She even includes a few vacation-friendly (ie not too taxing) recipes. And it even comes with the cutest mini whisk. It looks like a great hostess gift. Check out her web site www.basicsfuirst.com.
