No Farms, No Food
Sustainability Conversation: Local Farms
Four farmers who are at the heart of Westchester’s local food movement will discuss the reality of farming in the well-off suburbs, in part four of our Food, Land, Sustainability lecture series.
The farmers participating in the discussion are Bob Stuart, of Stuart’s Fruit Farm, in Somers; Lisa Schwartz, of Rainbeau Ridge Farm, in Bedford Hills; Mimi Edelman, of I & Me Farm, in Mount Kisco; and Betsy Ryder, of Ryder Farm, in Brewster.
Their discussion is titled “No Farms, No Food/No Farmers No Food,” and will be held on Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m., at St. Matthews Church, Bedford Village.
