Make Off With The Madoff’s Stuff

I just might get that big diamond ring after all. I hear Ruth Madoff's 10+ carart ring is on the auction block.

US Marshals Service will tomorrow auction over 400 items once belonging to Bernie and Ruth Madoff .

bernie madoff steinwayWhen he wasn’t busy running the largest Ponzi scheme in the history of capitalism, Bernie Madoff spent his free time gathering antique watches, exotic home furnishings and... cookbooks. Since he won’t be needing such luxuries anymore, the feds are auctioning off his stuff this Saturday. Starting at the aptly named website... www.usmarshals.gov/madoff.

Whether Madoff's collection of board games (priced currently at a bargain $250), or his wife Ruth's collections of Kosher cookbooks (even more of a, ahem, steal at $160), or something worryingly described as "belly button jewelry" fetch such implausibly high prices remains to be seen. Even more watches will also be up for sale.

Over 400 items will be on sale tomorrow at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers from 10am. The auction will also be simulcast online
