I think my lash extensions make me look thinner. It is my new favorite personal indulgence. It must be the immediate gratification. Wake up glamorous everyday, what a concept. False lashes are very popular these days. You can get permanent individual lashes applied or you can go the old-fashioned full temporary lashes route. Eyelash extensions, currently Hollywood's latest beauty obsession, must be one in a salon. They can last 2-3 months with touch-ups every 2-3 weeks. The cost, however, is pricey. These treatments are about $300 for the initial treatment, then $50-$100 for each touch-up. For more information, call The Salon 794 Post Rd Scarsdale, New York 10583 USA (914) 472-1800 . Not interested in the pricey semi-permanent lashes? You can go the much-cheaper route & try your basic false eyelashes which are designed to look as natural as possible. Products we love: Shu Uemura Feather False Lashes ($20).M.A.C. also makes a great false lash. Check them out at their stores. Ardell lashes have been around for 35 years and are a staple in many makeup artists bags. At $3 a strip, they're very affordable.

Stacy,
There is a new eyelash enhancement solution on the market. Latisse is a new prescriptive treatment designed to help you grow your own lashes.
For $120 a month, patients can use Latisse on the outside of each eyelid once a day, usually at night before they go to bed. It takes eight weeks to see some growth and 16 weeks for the full effect.
If patients stop using Latisse, their lashes will return to their previous appearance in a few weeks or months.
I did notice a warning on the new advertisement for Latisse, featuring spokeswoman Brooke Shields, however. It seems that the manufacturer feels very strongly about users washing their hands thoroughly after applying the cream. Wouldn't want any lashes sprouting from your fingertips! Let us readers know if you can find a guinea pig to try this out!
