The “Challenge”
For those of you who love making pacts, and stickin’ to ‘em, here’s a trend that is hitting the suburbs and keeping some of us ‘up’ at night… having lots of sex… ahem, ‘married sex’ that is. Yep, us ol’ suburban married types are making pacts with each other to have sex for 30, 60, 90 days straight. I recently heard about a New Jersey couple on day 22 and still going strong. A few months back, a couple made headlines for doing the unthinkable, having ‘married sex’ every single night for 365 days. The couple said that they had reached a place of closeness that they had never known before. Aww, isn’t that sweet.
Now, I know we are the “Sex & The City” generation who has ‘grown up’, packed up, and moved on up to the ‘burbs… but have we really lost our sexy that much? Or has the good ol’ suburban Keepin’ up with the Jones’ mentality reinventing itself in the 21st century? Whatever it is – and I’m hoping we all lean more towards the latter – why not partake?
So here’s my call to action for those of us looking to (re-)release that Spark and marital closeness; Go on, and get Busy Busy Happy!
