Did you know…
November 27, 2010 is the first-ever Small Business SaturdaySM.
A day to come together in support of the small businesses we love. The shops and restaurants that employ our neighbors and reinvest our money close to home. The businesses that are the heartbeat of our communities and local economies.
Small Business Saturday is a movement initiated by American Express OPEN, the companies small business unit, that encourages all of us to shop small business and local businesses the Saturday after Thanksgiving. In it’s inaugraul year, this Movement has already created much buzz online and I sincerly hope the result does not disapoint. This movement is not asking us to stop shopping at large retailers but simply support the small individually owned companies.
Wherever you live , it hits home. Many of our neighbours and friends own small businesses in our little town.
Do your part and shop local this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2010.
