Andrew Cuomo has taken his oath of office in Albany , Via Vanti restaurant in the historic train station of the governor's hometown of Mount Kisco is stirring the first pot of Lago di Cuomo soup in honor of their native son.

Lago di Cuomo is a "delizioso" soup created to satisfy diners of all dietary persuasions --  a healthful puree of warming winter greens served with a crostini topped with goat cheese, chopped tomato and fresh basil. The soup is vegan, non-dairy and gluten-free (a gluten-free non-dairy crostini is available upon request).  The soup's lighthearted name not only draws itinspiration from our new governor's name, but also the famous resort destination in Northern Italy -- Lago di Como.

"During the month of January we will be welcoming all our guests with a complimentary taste of this Inaugural soup," says Carla Gambescia, owner of Via Vanti!. Lago di Cuomo is being offered as one of the restaurant's seasonal soups and $1 will be donated to the Food Bank of Westchester with each purchase.
