F.A.B Restaurant launched a new social media campaign which offers diners 10% off their entire meal for the month of October upon Check in on Foursquare, a new geo locating application which shows your social media contacts your exact location.
F.A.B is one of the first restaurants to offer a social media promotion with Foursquare in the Northern Westchester area. Customers have to check in at F.A.B on foursquare and “shout out” the check in to their Twitter followers and Facebook friends. The offer is applicable on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights throughout the month of October.
“We want to engage with our customers in the new forms of media that they use, such as Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare. More restaurants need to embrace these technologies, and by offering a F.A.B Social Media promotion, we want to show customers that we are listening and engaging with them in their preferred platforms,” said Joe Mangi, Owner of F.A.B Restaurant.
The F.A.B Foursquare promotion is only one of the many tactics F.A.B is using to entice new customers to the restaurant. They utilize their Facebook fan page to crowd source and guage what menu items their customers would like to see added to the Autumn menu. They also utilize the Facebook fan page to promote charity affiliations, such as the upcoming “Taste of Towns” breast cancer awareness event at The Gym in Armonk, NY on October 26th. F.A.B uses their Twitter page to promote “FAB Businesses” and “FAB Friends of the Month” to stay connected to local patrons. They have also created a blog where diners can vote on their favorite special of the week. The Westchester Social Media Facebook fan page administered by “Best of Westchester” Social Media Winner Chris Cornell recently posted “Just saw that F.A.B. Restaurant in Mount Kisco is offering a 10% discount to customers who check-in on Foursquare during their visit. I'm surprised that more businesses aren't offering similar discounts.” F.A.B is a pioneer in restaurant marketing for other restaurants in Westchester to adopt social media tactics to draw in new customers.
