I Love Being Carded

Can't remember the last time you got carded?
Visit your library. Your library card gives you free access to books, movies, and music - plus borrowing keeps paper and plastic outta production. You're never too old for that.
The Benefits:
Putting away your wallet. Movie rentals run $3-$5 a pop, albums cost $10-plus, and a new hardcover can set you back $20. Most library memberships are free.
More paper and oil for drivers' licenses. More than 3.1 billion books are purchased in the United States each year, and most are made using nonrecycled paper and petroleum-based inks. Not to mention Cd's and movie Discs
Libraries are constantly adding new media.
Other perks. Many libraries offer other free benefits, such as wireless Internet, author appearances, and art exhibits.

The Westchester Library System is a collection of 38 libraries that share all media. If your library doesn't have what you want, you can put it on hold, and the library will bring it from another library. It's also a great place to connect with what is going on with your community. You would be surprised how many people use the library, how many people you will see at the library, and how nice and helpful the people who work there are.
