Cranberry Sauce With Pears

Cranberry sauce is something I make all year.  It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it.
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/4 teaspoon ginger

Two peeled and chopped pears

Cranberries popping12-ounce bag of fresh cranberries

Dissolve the sugar, water, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger items over low heat—about 5 minutes, depending on the heat. Then add the two peeled and chopped pears. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add fresh cranberries and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat when the cranberries begin to pop.
