The Blessing of The B Minus

Chabad of Bedford will be joining The Chabad of Greenwich and The Chabad House –Stamford in presenting their Annual Parenting Lecture, featuring, Dr. Wendy Mogel, Ph.D. at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Burning Tree Country Club in Greenwich, CT.
Dr. Mogel is a nationally known clinical psychologist, author and public speaker. Publisher’s Weekly gave her New York Times best-selling parenting book The Blessing of a Skinned Knee a starred review, saying, “Impassioned, lyrical and eminently practical, this volume is a real treasure.” In this, her revelatory first book, Dr. Mogel shares stories of everyday parenting problems and examines them through the lens of the Torah, the Talmud and other important Jewish teachings. Although based in Jewish teachings, parents from all walks of life and religions will find her information extremely useful and inspirational.
Her long-awaited new book, The Blessing of a B Minus: Using Jewish Teaching to Raise Resilient Teenagers, addresses the questions she is asked most frequently: how to be an effective parent in a culture that breeds anxiety and entitlement in older children and teens. Mogel shows parents how to navigate the rough waters of the teenage years and add a measure of joy and humor to the voyage.
Early bird reserved seating tickets are $40 each and will be $50 at the door. RESERVE EARLY!
