I was delighted to accompany the Nightfly(Westchester Magazine) Kris Ruby as a photographer to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley , Dinner With the JETS at the Moderne Barn in Armonk NY. Growing up in Bayside, NY being a JETS fan is required. So when The Nightfly requested my services, to be her official papparazzi for the night, I was delighted.
Moderne Barn , which I think is the prettiest restaurant that Westchester County has, was buzzing like I had never seen. Every seat was taken. Its was so sweet to see all the families. All the kids were sporting JETS jerseys. How cute did the little girls look. Then men were like kids in a candy store. Calvin Pace, Jerricho Cotchery, Dustin Keller, LaDainian Tomlinson, Brodney Pool, Braylon Edwards, Tony Richardson, Bart Scott, John Conner, and Eric Smith and were a big hit along with James Ihedigbo They were only some of the highlights of the night. During the Q&A Ihedigbo was asked " Who was your irispiration as a child?" He answered "His mother." to a resounding "Awwwww".
It was hard to believe that these gentle giants were the same hard hitting athletes that almost made it to the Super Bowl.
According to the Nightfly Westchester Magazine Article "The event raised over $15,000, and the total will benefit two children and will fulfill their wish requests. The meet and greet dinner to benefit HOPE Africa and Make-A-Wish Foundation was one of the best events I have been to in Westchester".
