The Swell Life Marathon- Life Still Has to Go On

Izzy Paskowitz, a competitive surfer, lives a busy life as an athlete and a father to an autistic child. The Swell Life, is about Paskowitz's, a remarkable family of raising a child with autism. Unlike the majority of reality television, this show is actually real. It follows a real family dealing with their very real issues - their teenage daughter moving in with her boyfriend, a husband and wife struggling to share child-rearing responsibilities, and, of course, a family struggling to raise a boy with autism. As you may already know, autism affects roughly 1 in 150 people, worldwide. There are over 2 million people with autism in the United States alone. Raising a child with autism can be a trying and alienating experience, and this show charts that journey in an honest and un- staged fashion. The Swell Life will be running this Saturday on the Oprah Winfrey Network from 12:00 – 5:00 Est

This show has no celebrity faces. I know there are families out there who want to see their own experiences reflected on television…if they only knew the show was on!
